It is my pleasure to provide support to all birthing people, no matter their choice. Whether it be an unmedicated birth, epidural, or planned cesarean section, hospital birth, home birth, or birthing center—I support YOU in your choices.
My passion for pregnancy and birth began during my pregnancy with my first child in 2012. The changes taking place in my body and mind were incredibly miraculous. Through the birth of my son, I felt remarkably empowered. Though my birthing did not go exactly as planned, I felt my voice was heard and felt completely supported by my family and caregivers.
As I became more exposed to the birthing world, and as many in my circle of friends began having children, I began to hear more and more about how disempowering birthing experiences are for many people. I so wanted to make a positive impact, but didn’t know how to tackle it! Well, the stillbirth of my second son in 2015 made things a little clearer for me, and propelled me into the work.
It is my humble belief that people everywhere can have empowering birth experiences. For this to happen, a person must be provided with options and education, and—most importantly—feel supported in their journey.
Prior to starting my path of becoming a doula, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. When I'm not working with my amazing clients, you can find me on my (yoga) mat, baking something to satisfy my sweet tooth, and gardening—things I can eat, of course! I'm also acquiring quite the collection of house plants. I am super fortunate to have a supportive husband and three beautiful little boys—two of whom I have the privilege of raising on this earth.
